The silent "R" and new diplomas needed

We recently learned the Department of Nurse Anesthersia Education was forced to order reprinted diplomas for this year's class. Staff realized the diplomas issued at graduation had misspelled the name of the program as "nurse anesthesia" after taking the elevator near their 2nd-floor offices in Delp.

Despite being well-educated, the staff had omitted the "silent R" on every diploma.

We launched an investigation because we needed to double-check that their second floor sign in Delp was, in fact, consistent. A single sign a rule does not make. Time to take the elevator to ground floor and check this out ...

First floor ...

Third floor? Someone seems to have wanted to emphasize the "silent R" here ... probably because it is one of the most commonly forgotten rules of the English language. People need reminders.

Fourth floor?

Fifth floor:

Yep -- the NA staff did make a huge mistake and will need to correct every diploma so they include the "silent R."

We do apologize for the blur on the fifth floor. We understand if you do not want to take our word for it, and you suspect this one floor was the exception and actually had it spelled as "Anesthesia."

We encourage you to go over to Delp 5 and discover for yourself.
